Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is ZCMC?

Zion Christian Mission Center (ZCMC) is a global theological education centre that provides free, structured Bible education from Genesis to Revelation. Our aim is to help people understand God’s Word clearly, without personal interpretation, and to live by it. ZCMC Australia is the local branch, offering in-person and online classes across the country.

2. Is ZCMC a church?

No. ZCMC is not a church; it is an educational institution focused on teaching the Bible in-depth. Students may come from many different churches or no church background at all. Some choose to join the affiliated church, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, after graduation, but there is no obligation.

3. Who is Shincheonji and how is it related to ZCMC?

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, is a Christian denomination based in South Korea. ZCMC is its educational arm, providing Bible study to anyone interested. While many graduates choose to become members of Shincheonji, this is a personal choice made after study, not a requirement to enrol.

4. Is there any cost to study at ZCMC?

No. All ZCMC courses are completely free, as we believe the Word of God should be given without cost (Revelation 22:17). There are no hidden fees, and donations are not solicited.

5. Who can join ZCMC courses?

Anyone who would like to learn more about the Bible, regardless of religious background, denomination, or prior Bible knowledge, can join. We welcome both believers and those who are simply curious to learn.

6. How long does the course take?

The full program usually takes between 6 to 8 months to complete, with classes held around three times per week. This may vary depending on the schedule you choose.

7. Do I need any prior Bible knowledge to start?

No. Our introductory course starts from the basics, and we explain everything step-by-step. Whether you are new to the Bible or have studied it for years, you will find the lessons clear and structured.

8. What will I learn at ZCMC?

The curriculum is divided into three main stages:

  • Introductory Lessons – Understanding the parables and the spiritual language of the Bible.
  • Intermediate Lessons – Overview of the Bible’s history and God’s redemptive work.
  • Advanced Lessons – Detailed study of the Book of Revelation, its prophecies, and fulfilment.

9. Is the teaching based on personal opinion?

No. Every lesson is based solely on the Bible, with multiple Scripture references to confirm meaning. We encourage students to verify every teaching with their own Bibles.

10. Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?

Yes. Upon graduation, you will receive a certificate acknowledging your completion of the program. Graduation ceremonies are celebrated globally, with thousands of students each year.

11. Can I study online?

Yes. We offer both in-person and online classes to accommodate students across Australia and overseas.

12. Does ZCMC teach a different Bible?

No. We use widely recognised translations of the Holy Bible, such as the NIV, KJV, and others. Our focus is on understanding Scripture as a whole, including its prophecies and fulfilment.

13. Is ZCMC a cult?

No. ZCMC is a Bible education centre, not a cult. We are transparent about our teachings, our curriculum, and our operations. Students are free to stop studying at any time.

14. Do you pressure students to join Shincheonji?

No. Joining Shincheonji is entirely voluntary. Many students continue attending their own churches after graduating.

15. Does ZCMC claim to be the only way to be saved?

No. We believe salvation comes through faith in God and obedience to His Word. Our role is to help people understand the Bible clearly so they can live according to it.

16. Why does ZCMC focus on the Book of Revelation?

Revelation contains prophecies about the events at the end of the age, which are deeply relevant today. Many believers find Revelation difficult to understand; our goal is to explain it clearly using Scripture.

17. Why are ZCMC classes so detailed and long?

The Bible is a vast and complex book. We believe that giving it the time and depth it deserves allows for genuine understanding, rather than surface-level knowledge.

18. Do you allow questions or discussion in class?

Yes. We encourage questions and healthy discussion. Teachers are happy to clarify any topic until it is fully understood.

19. How is ZCMC funded if it’s free?

ZCMC is funded by voluntary donations from those who choose to give, as well as support from the affiliated church. There is no obligation to contribute.

20. How can I enrol in a ZCMC course?

Simply fill out the registration form on our website or contact us directly. One of our team members will get in touch to guide you through the process and help you choose your preferred class format.
